Stephenville Crossing resident has dirt bike seized and is ticketed for no insurance

Stephenville, Newfoundland and Labrador – A nineteen-year-old male resident of Stephenville Crossing had his dirt bike seized on the night of June 26 by Bay St. George RCMP on patrol on Route 490. A police officer observed four off-road vehicles travelling on the shoulder on the wrong side of the road. The officer activated emergency lights indicating a traffic stop, after which the vehicles fled.

One of the drivers, the 19-year-old male resident of Stephenville Crossing, and his dirt bike were located a short time later. In addition to having his bike seized, the driver was issued a ticket for not having insurance.
