London Police investigating bike path sexual assault

London, Ontario – The London Police Service is investigating a sexual assault that occurred on July 3, 2020.

At approximately 7:30 PM, a woman walking along the bike path between Chelsea Green Park and Watson Park on the south side of the Thames River was approached by a man and sexually assaulted.

The adult female victim was not injured and managed to flee the area to notify police.

The description of the suspect is as follows: Male, White, 20 to 30 years of age, 150 to a 175 pounds, 5′ 5″to 5′ 6″ in height, slim build, black wavy hair, wearing a shirt around his neck only, black shorts and dark sneakers. The suspect may have also had a gold chain around the neck.

This investigation is being conducted by the Sexual Assault and Child Abuse Section.

Police are seeking any information from the public in relation to this sexual assault.
