UPDATE: London Police lay addition charges in homicide of Bill Horrace on June 21, 2020

UPDATE # 5 – LONDON, ON (July 10, 2020) – Members of the London Police Service Major Crime Section have charged Tianna Almeida, 22, and Tera Amoatemah, 22, both of North York, with Being an Accessory After the Fact to the Offence of Assault with a Weapon in relation to the investigation into the murder of Bill Horrace on June 21, 2020.

Both women were arrested in Toronto by London Police Service members on July 7, 2020 and released pending a court appearance in London on
September 28, 2020.

CHARGE LAID IN HOMICIDE INVESTIGATION

UPDATE # 4 – LONDON, ON (July 7, 2020) – Members of the London Police Service Major Crime Section have charged Trevor P. Gregory, 46, of North York, with Breach of Trust in relation to the investigation into the murder of Bill Horrace on June 21, 2020.

Trevor Gregory is a police officer employed by the Toronto Police Service and father of the suspect, Keiron Gregory. A warrant of arrest was issued for Keiron Gregory on June 25, 2020, charging him with second degree murder. He remains at large.

Trevor Gregory was arrested in Toronto by London Police Service members on July 7, 2020 and released pending a court appearance in London, September 29, 2020.

At this time, the London Police Service will not be releasing any further details specific to the charges against Trevor Gregory.

UPDATE # 3 – LONDON, ON (June 25, 2020) – The London Police Service has charged 22 year-old Keiron Gregory of North York, Ontario, in connection with the home invasion and homicide that took place on Pochard Lane on June 21, 2020.

Mr. Gregory is charged with one count of Second Degree Murder by way of warrant of arrest issued on June 25, 2020. His whereabouts are unknown however it is believed he may be in the Greater Toronto Area. Anyone with information with respect to his whereabouts is asked to contact the London Police Service or their local police service. No firearms have been recovered to this point of the investigation, and
Mr. Gregory may be armed. If seen, citizens are advised not to approach him and to contact 911 immediately.

All four suspects are still outstanding, and the incident remains under investigation.

UPDATE #2 – LONDON, ON (June 23, 2020) – Members of the LPS Major Crime Section continue to investigate the home invasion and homicide that took place on Pochard Lane early Sunday morning.

London Police Major Crime Section can confirm the victim in this investigation, 44 year old Bill Chamber Horrace, is the same individual that media outlets have been reporting as a former member of National Patriotic Front of Liberia.

The London Police Service continues to consider and pursue all aspects of this homicide investigation. Horrace’s former association with this group is not the primary focus of the investigation.

HOME INVASION HOMICIDE INVESTIGATION

UPDATE #1 – LONDON, ON (June 22, 2020) – Members of the London Police Service Major Crime Section continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the home invasion and homicide that took place on Pochard Lane early Sunday morning.

The victim in this matter has been identified as 44-year-old Bill Horace, of Toronto.

The investigation has revealed that four suspects arrived at 232 Pochard Lane in two vehicles at 4:40 am, on June 21, 2020. The suspects forcibly entered the home where a physical altercation occurred which culminated with the victim being shot by one of the suspects. Other family members were inside of the home at the time of the incident.

Officers responded to a 9-1-1 call in relation to this incident, locating the victim who had suffered a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to hospital by Paramedic Services where he was pronounced deceased.

The suspects involved fled the scene prior to police arrival.

The suspects are described as:

1. Male, Black, 6 feet tall, thin build, wearing a black hospital-style mask, grey sweat pants and a hooded sweatshirt.

2. Male, Black, wearing a black hospital-style mask and a hooded sweatshirt with a red strip down the arm. No further descriptors available.

3. Male, Black, wearing a black hospital-style mask and a hooded sweatshirt. No further descriptors available.

4. Male, Black, very light complexion, short with a thin build, short braids and grey sweatpants.

Investigators do not believe this was a random incident.

The London Police Service has received several media inquiries about the identity of the deceased and possible historical association to National Patriotic Front in Liberia. The London Police Service is aware of these inquiries, but cannot confirm this fact at this time.

Home Invasion Investigation

ORIGINAL – LONDON, ON (June 21, 2020) – At approximately 4:45 a.m. London Police were contacted regarding suspicious individuals entering a residence in the area of Pochard Lane and Woodfern Road and fleeing shortly after.

London Police arrived and located a male who had suffered a gunshot wound who has since been pronounced deceased.
The investigation is in its early stages and has been taken over by the London Police Major Crime Section. Further information will be provided when available.
