Twillingate RCMP charges same uninsured driver twice in five days

Twillingate, Newfoundland and Labrador – A 63-year-old Twillingate man was caught twice in five days for driving vehicles without insurance by Twillingate RCMP.

On July 7, 2020, at approximately 4:25 p.m., Twillingate RCMP were on patrol on Route 340 near the community of Fairbanks and conducted a traffic stop on a Cadillac. The driver was found to be operating a vehicle without insurance and his vehicle was seized and impounded for 30 days. The man was charged under the Highway Traffic Act for operating a vehicle without insurance.

On July 12, 2020, at approximately 7:40 p.m., Twillingate RCMP were on patrol on Route 340 near the community of Indian Cove and conducted a traffic stop on a Chevrolet Impala. The same driver was found operating this vehicle without insurance or registration. The car was seized and impounded for 30 days. The driver was charged under the Highway Traffic Act for operating a vehicle without insurance or registration.
