Bonnyville G.I.S. Apprehend Suspected Drug Trafficker at Traffic Stop

Bonnyville, Alberta – On July 14, 2020, Members of the Bonnyville RCMP and Bonnyville General Investigation Section (GIS) conducted a traffic stop in the town of Bonnyville on a male known to be wanted on outstanding warrants out of Bonnyville and Cold Lake. Upon arrest of the male, police located a quantity of suspected methamphetamine and other items consistent with drug trafficking. The male was arrested without incident.


Dennis Budenski (49) of Cold Lake, Alberta has been charged with the following offences;

• Possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking;

• Possession of proceeds of crime;

• Failing to comply with the condition of a release order.

Dennis Budenski was brought before a Justice of the Peace and was remanded into custody. His next court appearance was scheduled for July 16, 2020 at St. Paul Provincial Court.

Dennis Budenski currently has a separate charge pending for Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking methamphetamine, stemming from an investigation conducted by Bonnyville G.I.S. in August, 2018.
