Stony Plain, Alberta – On July 31, 2020 at 1:40 a.m. Parkland RCMP received a report of two suspicious individuals in the neighborhood of Westerra in Stony Plain. The two suspects had arrived in a truck and were observed carrying a bag. The complainant provided a license plate for the truck. Police checks revealed that the truck had been stolen on July 26, 2020 from the area of Stony Plain.
Parkland RCMP attended, located the two suspects and recovered the stolen vehicle. Both were arrested without incident. They were found with items in their possession that did not belong to them.
The 20-year-old female suspect from Spruce Grove, Alta. had a warrant for unauthorized use of credit card data and is being held for a judicial interim release hearing.
The 32-year-old male suspect from Spruce Grove, Alta. was released and will be appearing in Stony Plain Provincial Court.
An update identifying the suspects and court dates will be provided.
