Parkland RCMP investigate drowning in North Saskatchewan River

Parkland County, Alberta – The RCMP responded this afternoon at 3:55 p.m. to a call of a male found floating in the river near Cottontail Corner. EMS and RCMP responded to assist civilians who had located the male and attempted to provide first aid.

The 53-year-old male was transported to Leduc where he was declared deceased in the hospital.

The investigation into his death continues. There is no indication that this is a criminal incident. Further information from the RCMP will not be provided.
