UPDATE: Search for tuber missing overnight on Pembina River ends well

Evansburg, Alberta – The RCMP are no longer actively searching for a 25-year-old male who was missing overnight on the Pembina River. He has been located, safe and well.

Evansburg RCMP searching for lost tuber

Evansburg, Alta. – The RCMP are actively searching for a 25-year-old male who is missing on the Pembina River.

At 9:41 this morning, Evansburg RCMP responded to assist five tubers, who had been stranded overnight. After assisting the tubers and returning them to their starting point, RCMP were advised that there was a 6th tuber who left the group, walking, at approximately 3:00 a.m. He has not been located.

RCMP have utilized Police Dog Services and Brazeau Search & Rescue, with no luck. The public is asked to keep watch for Jacob Kushneryk. He was last seen south of the Provincial Park near Range Road 80.

– 5’10’ tall / 150 lbs.

– Brown hair / brown eyes

– Very tanned

– Wearing blue swimming shorts and carrying a green lunch bag with a white lid
