Four people charged with drug offences following search warrants on two Gander, N.L. homes

Gander, Newfoundland and Labrador – Four people have been charged with drug-related offences following search warrants recently executed by Gander RCMP on two homes in Gander.

On July 22, 2020, Gander RCMP, along with RCMP officers from Glovertown Detachment and Traffic Services, searched a residence on Bennett Drive. A quantity of cocaine, cash and drug paraphernalia consistent with drug trafficking were seized. Seventy-two-year-old Gordon Hogan and 69-year-old Beulah Hogan are each charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking and possession of property obtained by crime.

On July 23, 2020, Gander RCMP, along with RCMP officers from Carmanville Detachment, searched a residence on Hobbs Street. A quantity of cocaine, LSD (acid), MDMA (ecstasy), and psilocybin (mushrooms) and drug paraphernalia consistent with drug trafficking were seized. Officers also seized firearms, cell phones and other weapons. Fifty-year-old Sheldon Torraville is charged with four counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking, possession of a controlled substance (LSD, MDMA and psilocybin), possession of property obtained by crime and two counts of unauthorized possession of a firearm. Fifty-two-year-old Pamela Torraville is charged with possession of a controlled substance (cocaine).

All four individuals are set to attend court at later dates.
