Jasper National Park, Alberta – The RCMP responded Sunday at 5:00 p.m. to Annette Lake to a call of a possible drowning.
When RCMP arrived, the Parks personnel and EMS were on scene trying to provide life saving measures. Despite the attempts at resuscitation the 39-year-old male was declared deceased.

Several people including family and tourists made efforts to reach the male and assist in his recovery. The RCMP wishes to thank the many people who offered help.
There is no indication of any criminality in this incident. The investigation is ongoing with the assistance of the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Edmonton. The RCMP will not be providing further information.
