Woman calls Camrose Police after allegedly being threatened with a hatchet

Camrose, Alberta – August 10, 2020 – A female called 911 to advise that she had just been threatened with a hatchet by another woman at her residence. Police attended the area where the suspect was located and arrested by Police. During a search Police located the weapon along with a small quantity of methamphetamine. The female was charged with assault with a weapon, possession of a weapon dangerous to the public and possession of a controlled substance.

August 9, 2020

A local restaurant asked an intoxicated male to leave their business for causing issues. When the male returned and began yelling at staff Police were contacted and removed the male from the property. He was issued a trespass notice not to return to the business.

Police were dispatched to what was described as a large fight in the parking lot of Tabb lanes. A group of males were located and although there was evidence that a fight had occurred, the males denied having any kind of altercation and were uncooperative with Police. The males were separated and sent home.

August 8, 2020

A male contacted Police stating that there was another male banging on the door to his apartment. Police attended and located an intoxicated male causing the disturbance. The male agreed to stay inside his suite but then continued with his actions after Police left the building. The male was arrested to prevent further breach of the peace and released when sober without charges.

A local bar advised that an intoxicated female was refusing to leave. The female who was also uncooperative with Police was arrested to prevent further breach of the peace and later released from custody.
