The number of drivers being apprehended for driving at speeds over 60 km/hr over posted limits continues to be a concern for the RCMP. Drivers apprehended at these speeds should be aware that they may face reviews of their driver’s licenses and possible suspensions, increased insurance rates, criminal charges, and most significantly, the much greater potential of death or serious injury these speeds pose for themselves, other highway users, and pedestrians.
