Camrose Police Service Report to September 3, 2020

Camrose, Alberta – September 3, 2020 – 911 call from a female requesting Police assistance with her common-law. The couple were having a verbal argument and the situation was mediated with the male leaving the property.

Just before midnight the RCMP requested assistance with a vehicle that they were pursuing westbound into Camrose on highway 26. There was exigent circumstances causing the situation to be considered high risk. Once the vehicle entered the city Police deployed a spike belt which partial disabled the vehicle. The vehicle continued southbound on 50th street and eventually came to a stop on the gravel road towards the landfill. The 44 year old male driver was arrested and then taken into custody by the RCMP.

For the past two days Police have been searching for a missing female who has been located safe. Thank you to members of the public for their assistance.

Police received a complaint of a couple arguing in an apartment suite and thee was a concern for safety. Police attended and there was no evidence that anyone’s safety was a concern with both parties confirming it was a verbal argument. The situation was mediated.

Police assisted a business with a customer who was upset over previous work that had been done on his vehicle. The male who was making threatening comments and screaming at staff was asked to leave and cooperated.

A male reported that his bike had been stolen while parked at the Safeway Gas Bar.
