RCMP seek public assistance locating wanted Edmonton male known to frequent Brooks, Edmonton and High Prairie – ARRESTED

Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta – Chris Calliou was located and arrested in Edmonton and is no longer wanted by Fort Saskatchewan RCMP.

He was released after a judicial hearing and will be appearing in Fort Saskatchewan Provincial Court on Oct. 15, 2020.

As this matter is now before the courts no further updates are anticipated.

BACKGROUND

Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta – Fort Saskatchewan RCMP are asking the public assistance in locating a wanted male in relation to an incident that occurred on Aug. 17, 2020.

It is alleged a male attended a residence in Fort Saskatchewan and demanded an adult female and child get into a vehicle. The victims were able get out of the vehicle in Edmonton where a minor injury occurred to the adult female as a result. Police have not been able to locate the male.

Chris Calliou (32) of Edmonton, Alta., is wanted for:

· Kidnapping (x2)

· Criminal negligence causing bodily harm

· Dangerous operation of a motor vehicle

Calliou is described as:

· Indigenous male

· 6’2 tall / 396 lbs

· Brown hair and eyes

Chris Calliou’s current whereabouts are unknown; however, he has been known to frequent Edmonton, High Prairie and Brooks, Alta.
