Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta – On September 4, 2020 at 8:40 pm, while conducting pro-active patrols on Westpark Boulevard, members of the Fort Saskatchewan RCMP conducted a vehicle stop after the registered owner of a vehicle showed having an expired driver’s licence and arrest warrant.
RCMP members entered into an investigation and the vehicle occupants were subsequently taken into custody.
A search incidental to arrest was completed and the following items were seized:
Over 35 grams of suspected Methamphetamine, digital scale and $1425.00 in Canadian Currency suspected as being proceeds of crime.

Nancy Kanarek (54) and Clifford Aitken (49) of Athabasca, are each facing the following charge:
· Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking
Kanarek and Aitken were released from custody on conditions following a Judicial Hearing and are set to appear in Fort Saskatchewan Provincial Court on October 1, 2020.
