Edmonton, Alberta – The proactive, collaborative police work of several EPS units has led to the arrest of a second man wanted in connection with the murder of a 15-year-old teen male, fatally injured in the parking lot of a northwest Edmonton hotel on Sept. 2, 2020.
Downtown Division patrol members took Bradley Leland, 23, (also known as Bradley Durocher) into custody, at approximately 3:20 a.m. yesterday, Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2020 in connection to a stolen vehicle incident.
Officers conducting proactive patrols near 116 Street and 104 Avenue spotted a stolen Nissan Juke. Members followed the vehicle until Air 1 could assist. The vehicle eventually pulled over near 124 Street and 116 Avenue, at which time a male driver and female passenger attempted to flee on foot.
Canine Unit was also called out to assist, and PSD Evan successfully apprehended the driver, who was subsequently identified as Bradley Clifford Leland, 23, wanted for second-degree murder in connection to the Sept. 2 homicide. The female passenger was also located nearby, though no criminal charges were laid against her.
Leland has since been charged with second-degree murder.
Investigators are still hoping to speak with an unidentified male who was with the 15-year-old victim at the time of the incident. This male may have sustained non-life-threatening injuries, fled the scene and has not been located.

At approximately 6 a.m., Wednesday, Sept. 2, 2020, Northwest Division officers responded to a call for assistance from Fire Rescue Services, at a commercial address near 136 Avenue and 97 Street.
Upon arrival, officers located a male in medical distress on the ground in a nearby hotel parking lot. Paramedics treated and transported the male to hospital with life-threatening injuries, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
On Sept. 2, 2020, Bradley Michael Edward Almas, 21, was initially arrested and charged with second degree murder.
