Parkland RCMP Investigate Armed Robbery in Stony Plain; “brandishing what appeared to be a handgun”

Stony Plain, Alberta – On Sept. 12, 2020 at 3:25 am Parkland RCMP responded to a report of an armed robbery at a convenience store located at 48 Street and 44 Avenue in Stony Plain.

A male and female entered the store and demanded money. The male was brandishing what appeared to be a handgun. The clerk handed money over to the pair who then fled the area. Police responded immediately but they were not able to locate the suspects. The firearm however, was located and seized near the scene by police.

Thankfully, the clerk did not receive any injuries as a result of this incident.

The female is described as:

approximately 5’3″ tall

dark hair

appeared to be in her early 20’s

wearing a blue hoodie with white writing on the arm and a white circular logo on the chest, dark sunglasses and a white mask

The male is described as:

approximately 6′ tall

dark wavy hair

appeared to be in his early 20’s

wearing a grey hoodie and a black mask with a white pattern
