Camrose, Alberta – September 14, 2020 – A male driver who the day prior had failed to stop for Police to avoid his warrants was arrested by the RCMP. The vehicle he was operating was located in the ditch west of Camrose and the male was sleeping inside the vehicle. The male was arrested on his warrants and additionally charged with criminal flight and dangerous driving.
A female called 911 to report 3 males fighting in the alley behind her residence. Police attended and determined that two men had a disagreement which then led to a physical altercation. Other friends had separated the combatants prior to Police arrival and the two men agreed it was best to return to their homes.
September 13, 2020
Police attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a vehicle. The driver failed to stop for Police and fled westbound on 48th avenue exiting the city. The male who has outstanding warrants will additionally be charged with criminal flight and dangerous driving.
Eyes on Camrose. A witness contacted Police after she observed a male acting suspicious in a vehicle parked at Walmart. The male exited the vehicle and entered the store carrying a large purse. Police set up surveillance on the vehicle and when the occupants returned a traffic stop was attempted but the vehicle fled at a high rate of speed. The vehicle was later located and the two occupants were arrested. Inside the vehicle Police located about $1000 worth of groceries and the female occupant was found to be in possession of a small quantity of methamphetamine and fentanyl. Charges of criminal flight, dangerous driving, two counts of possession of a controlled substance and possession of stolen property were laid.
September 12, 2020
A residence on 43 street in the 4900 block that was under renovations was broke into overnight. Two Maxim drills, a Black & Decker palm sander and a small chop saw were stolen.
An orange Giant Talon mountain bike was stolen from a location in central Camrose. The bike was locked at the time of the theft.
A male was charged with assault after he punched his neighbor in the mouth because he believed that he was stealing his WIFI.
Staff at a grocery store reported that a male had stolen meat from their store. Staff attempted to stop the male who then fled on foot. Police are following up on leads to identify the suspect.
September 11, 2020
A male reported that his girlfriend was damaging property inside his residence. Police attended and the male did not wish to pursue charges but wanted her removed from the home. Police later received another complaint that the female was back inside the residence where she was continuing to cause damage. The female was arrested to prevent further breach of the peace and later released.
