Hinton RCMP requesting assistance locating male on warrant; “allegedly kicked down a door to a residence and assaulted a male” – ARRESTED

Hinton, Alberta –Hinton RCMP located and arrested Travis Fedchuk (38) of Hinton on Sept. 28, 2020, on the outstanding warrant related to the August 16, 2020, incident. The Hinton RCMP would like to thank the media and the public for their assistance. A number of tips were received by the public and ultimately led to Fedchuk’s arrest.

Fedchuk has been released from custody with conditions and is scheduled to appear in Hinton Provincial Court on October 21, 2020.

BACKGROUND

Hinton, Alberta – On August 16, 2020, Hinton RCMP investigated an incident where a 38-year-old male had allegedly kicked down a door to a residence and assaulted a male causing serious injuries that required treatment in hospital.

Further investigation resulted in the following charges against Travis Fedchuk (38) of Hinton:

· Assault causing bodily harm

· Uttering threats

· Mischief under $5,000

· Break and enter into a residence

RCMP have been unable to locate Fedchuk and have obtained a warrant for his arrest on the above noted charges.

RCMP are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying his whereabouts. If you have information about his whereabouts you are asked to contact Hinton RCMP at 780-865-2455, or your local police. Fedchuk is considered dangerous and should not be approached by the public. If located, you are asked to call 911 and provide the location. Police believe this to be a targeted incident.
