Slave Lake RCMP investigate fatal collision on Highway 754 involving a semi-tractor and OHV

Slave Lake, Alberta – On Sept. 26, 2020 at approximately 9:30 a.m., Slave Lake RCMP responded to a collision on Highway 754 involving a semi-tractor and OHV.

Preliminary investigation has revealed the semi-tractor carrying a trailer of logs and a OHV were both travelling westbound on Highway 754 when a collision occurred. The OHV which had three occupants inside, veered into a ditch and rolled onto its roof.

The 18-year-old male driver of Wabasca was transported to hospital via EMS with serious-life threatening injuries. He later succumb to those injuries. The youth male and female occupants suffered minor injuries and were transported to hospital via EMS. The driver of the semi-tractor was not injured.

Slave Lake RCMP continue to investigate the collision and no further updates are anticipated. The name of the deceased will not be released.
