Camrose Police Checkstop leads to Drug Charges for 42-Year-Old Woman

Camrose, Alberta – On October 1, 2020, members of the Camrose Police Service entered into a drug investigation while conducting a check stop on the west end of Camrose. Police observed a vehicle enter the check stop and arrested a female driver and another female occupant who was determined to be breaching her curfew conditions. Police conducted a search of the vehicle and located a large quantity of heroin, a quantity of methamphetamine, and a quantity of GHB that was near the driver of the vehicle.

The driver of the vehicle, Kara MIDDLETON (42) was subsequently charged with possession for the purposes of trafficking (heroin) and two counts of possession of a controlled substance. The other occupant was charged with one count of breach of recognizance. Both accused have been compelled to Camrose Provincial Court to answer to the charges.
