16-year-old charged for travelling 208 km/hr in 90 km/hr zone, vehicle impounded: Highway 16

Saskatoon, Saskatchewan – Saskatoon Police have charged a 16 year old Saskatoon boy with driving in excess of 200 km/hr. in a 90 km/hr. speed zone.

Shortly before 11:00 p.m. October 2nd, 2020, an SPS traffic officer clocked a vehicle at a speed of 208 km/hr. in a 90 km/hr. speed zone on Highway 16 near Zimmerman Road. The driver was issued a $1, 560 ticket and his vehicle has been impounded for 7 days.

Police would like to remind motorists to obey the traffic laws and arrive at their destination safely.
