Edmonton Police seeking witnesses and information after two men were stabbed last weekend

Edmonton, Alberta – The Edmonton Police Service is investigating an incident where two men were stabbed outside a pub last weekend.

At approximately 1:30 a.m. on Sunday, Sept. 27, 2020, police were called to the Blue Anchor Taphouse & Kitchen (300 Saddleback Road NW) in relation to a stabbing. It was reported that a group of males approached a group of three males, stabbing two of them and assaulting the other. The 26-year-old and 29-year-old who were stabbed sustained very serious injuries from the unprovoked attack. The 24-year-old male who was also assaulted, but not stabbed, also sustained injuries from the assault. Investigators believe there may have been an exchange between the two groups inside the pub prior to the assault outdoors.

Investigators are looking to speak with anyone who attended the Blue Anchor Taphouse & Kitchen in the late hours of Saturday, Sept. 26 or early hours of Sunday, Sept. 27, 2020. More specifically, police would like to speak with any witnesses to the stabbing or the events leading up to it.
