Police on the look-out for suspect who damaged Covid-19 signs

Coquitlam, BC – Police are looking to identify a suspect who damaged Covid-19 signs warning people to maintain social distancing at Lafarge Lake in Town Centre Park, Coquitlam.

Coquitlam RCMP first received a report of graffiti and other damage to signs on September 22, 2020. The damage included the word ‘hoax’ sprayed on Covid-19 signs and vandalism to several others. The offences occurred between September 19, 2020, and September 23, 2020. Police know of at least three occasions where the suspect has been in the park between those dates.

This is the best description that police have of the suspect:

Caucasian man,

Clean shaven,

Age between 25 to 35-years-old,

Height between 167 cm (5’6″) to 173 cm (5’8″),

May be wearing an orange coloured jacket, ripped jeans.
