Fort Vermilion RCMP Execute Search Warrant, Money and Drugs seized

Fort Vermilion, Alberta – A suspected drug dealer was arrested in Fort Vermilion following an RCMP investigation.

Fort Vermilion RCMP and The Mackenzie County Enhanced Unit, made the arrest on September 30, 2020. ALERT Grande Prairie’s organized crime team helped with the investigation, including the search of the home. No injuries were sustained and the suspect was arrested without incident.

As a result of investigation, Angela Mitchell (42) of Fort Vermilion, has been charged with:

· Trafficking in a controlled substance: Methamphetamine – Sect. 5(1) of The Controlled Drugs and Substances Act

· Possession of a controlled substance, for the purpose of trafficking – Sect. 5(2) of The Controlled Drugs and Substances Act

· Possession of property obtained by crime – Sect. 355(a) of the Canadian Criminal Code

Angela has been released from custody and is scheduled to appear in Fort Vermilion provincial court on October 20, 2020 in relation to these allegations.
