19-year-old facing Attempted Murder charge following Prince Albert Stabbing

Prince Albert, Saskatchewan – The Prince Albert Police Service is investigating a serious incident late Wednesday night in the 3200 Block of 2nd Avenue West.

Police were called to a business in the area just before 10 p.m. for a report of a stabbing. A 21-year-old man was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries and later transported to Saskatoon via STARS Air Ambulance.

Police took a 19-year-old male suspect into custody at the scene. He is facing a charge of attempted murder (Section 239 of the Canada Criminal Code) and will appear in court Friday, October 16th, 2020. [Information 991142647]

The Criminal Investigations Division and the Forensic Identification Section of the Prince Albert Police Service have been called in to assist with the investigation.
