Peace Regional RCMP recover stolen property and lay charges: Grimshaw

Grimshaw, Alberta – In the morning of Oct. 15, 2020, Peace Regional RCMP responded to a report of a break and enter to the Mighty Peace Golf Club, in the rural, Grimshaw, Alberta area. Investigation revealed that a suspect had broken into the business and had stolen a large number of items, including golf equipment, food, liquor and clothing, among other items. Police and staff from the business were able to track the suspect to a nearby location, where he was found in possession of the stolen property, suspected controlled substances and a makeshift firearm.

As a result of the investigation, Anthony Aaron ROSHUK, a 32 year old from the Nampa, Alberta area, has been apprehended on multiple outstanding warrants for his arrest, stemming from incidents in multiple jurisdictions throughout the Peace region. He’s further charged with the following criminal offences in relation to this incident, including:

Breaking and entering with intent (2 counts)

Possession of property obtained by crime

Possession of a prohibited weapon

Possession of a controlled substance (3 counts)

Obstructing a peace officer

Failing to comply with conditions of a release order (8 counts)

ROSHUK has been remanded into custody pending the outcome of a bail hearing, which is next scheduled for Oct. 19, 2020, in Peace River provincial court.
