Charges pending after Camrose female returns to work following positive test for COVID-19: Camrose Police Report

Camrose, Alberta – October 30, 2020 – Police are investigating an assault which occurred near the Community Center. The victim was walking in the area when he was jumped, kicked and punched several times by an unknown male who he described to be in his 30’s, wearing a black hoody, black hat and white shoes. The suspect stole the victims back pack and shoes before fleeing the scene. The victim suffered significant injuries and Police are requesting the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect. If anyone witnessed the assault, has video surveillance in the area or has any other information please contact Police.

Police assisted Alberta Health Services in an investigation involving a female in Camrose who tested positive for COVID and then returned to work prior to the expiration of her 14 day quarantine. Charges are pending.

A female received notice from a finance company that someone had been using her personal information to apply for credit at numerous companies as well as for a passport application. The victim also noticed an unauthorized transaction on her credit card. Police are investigating.
