Boyle, Alberta – On Oct. 21, 2020 Boyle RCMP arrested an adult male and female who had outstanding warrants at a residence south of Boyle.
While at the residence officers noticed several licence plates and vehicles on the property were previously reported stolen. A search warrant was sought and then executed a short time later.
Boyle RCMP along with officers from the Eastern Alberta District Rural Crime Reduction Unit (EADRCRU) recovered approximately $250,000 in stolen property which included two firearms, multiple stolen licence plates, electric bike parts, a SUV, truck and trailers, a motorcycle, personal identification including photo licenses and credit cards.


Travis Overton (37) of Fort McMurray, Alta., and Nicole Murphy (36) of Athabasca, Alta., were jointly charged with:
· Possession of a controlled substance – methamphetamine
· Fail to comply with release order (x2)
· Possession of ammunition contrary to an order (x2)
· Possession of property obtained by crime (x12)
Overton was wanted on several warrants at the time of his arrest from Strathcona and Wood Buffalo RCMP which included 17 offences.
Murphy was wanted on several warrants at the time of her arrest from Athabasca and Wood Buffalo RCMP which included eight offences.
After judicial hearings, Overton was remanded into custody and will be appearing in Athabasca Provincial Court on Nov. 9, 2020. Murphy was released with multiple court dates and locations.
