Brooks, Alberta – On Nov. 10, 2020, at approximately 8 p.m., Brooks RCMP received a call of a semi-truck and trailer that was jack-knifed and blocking both lanes of Highway 1 near Range Road 132, approximately 18 km’s east of Brooks.
The semi-truck was eastbound on Highway 1 and lost control, resulting in the semi-truck and trailer unit ending up jack-knifed across both lanes of traffic. The driver was not injured.
Brooks RCMP continue to investigate this collision.
Traffic has resumed; however, Brooks RCMP would like to warn motorists in the area to avoid unnecessary travel as extremely icy patches are contributing to unsafe road conditions.
