Elk Point RCMP respond to suspicious vehicle call; “a rifle, ammunition and a knife were seized”

Frog Lake, Alberta – On Nov. 12, 2020, Elk Point RCMP responded to a report of two suspicious vehicles stuck in a field in Frog Lake.

Officers attended and located four people. Further investigation revealed that the two vehicles were stolen in November 2020 from Bonnyville and Lloydminster.

While conducting a search of one of the vehicles, a rifle, ammunition and a knife were seized. None of the four suspects held a firearms licence and as a result were arrested.

Taylor Dillon (20), Ronald Jimmy (25), Kezia Lewis (35), all of Onion Lake, Sask., and Joshua Lecky (31) of Lloydminster, Alta., were jointly charged with:

· Possession of weapon for dangerous purposes

· Possession of firearm in a motor vehicle

· Unauthorized possession of firearm

· Possession of property obtained by crime over $5000

Additionally, Ronald Jimmy was also charged with failure to comply with condition of an Undertaking. All accused were released after judicial hearings and are set to appear in St. Paul Provincial Court on Dec. 3, 2020.
