Camrose, Alberta – November 25, 2020 – A business in the downtown area reported that someone had stolen the batteries out of a scissor lift which were valued at approximately $2000. Police have reviewed video surveillance and are continuing the investigation.
While conducting patrols Police observed a male on a bicycle who was known to have outstanding warrants and curfew conditions. The male was arrested and during a search a small quantity of methamphetamine and break-in tools were discovered. The male was charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of break-in tools and breaching his conditions.
A female contacted Police requesting assistance with her common-law who was intoxicated and causing issues inside the home. Police were unable to calm the male resulting in him being arrested to prevent further breach of the peace and later released when sober.
Staff at a liquor store reported three males had stolen a bottle of liquor and left in a small grey car. Police located the vehicle and a traffic stop was conducted. The three men, none of which were from Camrose, all had lengthy criminal records without any justifiable reason to be in the city. The bottle of liquor was located inside the vehicle but staff were unable to identify which male committed the theft. Police returned the stolen item to the business and sent the men on their way ensuring they left Camrose.

A female reported that her 2011 Chevrolet Impala was stolen overnight. The vehicle was parked on 46ave in the 7200 block with the keys left inside. The vehicle was later located in Wetaskiwin county engulfed in flames. Police are investigating.
Police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that was missing a license plate. The 39 year old male was a suspended driver and also had outstanding warrants out of Rocky Mountain House. The male was issued the appropriate violation tickets and his vehicle was towed. He was also released on an appearance notice with a new court date to deal with his warrants.

A staff member from a local bar called 911 to report that she had just been assaulted by a male. Police attended and after reviewing video surveillance were able to identify the male responsible. The male was located, arrested and later released on one charge of assault.
A male reported that his ex-wife was not following their child custody order. Police mediated the situation with both parties agreeing to follow the order.
A male reported that his grey Kia Amanti was stolen from the front of his residence on 48 street in the 4700 block.
A local bar requested Police assistance with an intoxicated male. The uncooperative male was arrested and lodged until sober.
A local cab driver advised that an intoxicated fare was refusing to exit the cab. The female who was confrontational with Police was arrested and lodged until sober.
