Drayton Valley RCMP seize drugs and charge male for Trafficking

Drayton Valley, Alberta – On November 24, 2020, Drayton Valley RCMP were at a residence in Drayton Valley conducting an investigation on an unrelated matter when members observed drugs in plain view. Drayton Valley RCMP along with the assistance of the Drayton Valley RCMP General Investigation Section (GIS) obtained a search warrant.

On November 24, 2020, Drayton Valley RCMP and the GIS unit executed a search warrant on the residence. During the search, police located and seized a considerably large quantity of fentanyl, methamphetamine, cocaine and various drug trafficking paraphernalia.

As a result of this investigation, Logan Merle Bruner (33) of Drayton Valley has been charged with the following offences:

Possession for the purpose of trafficking fentanyl

Possession for the purpose of trafficking methamphetamine

Possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine

Following a judicial hearing, Bruner was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in Drayton Valley Provincial Court on December 15, 2020.

“Drayton Valley RCMP remain committed to prioritizing drug trafficking investigations,” says Cpl. Ryan Hoetmer, NCO i/c Drayton Valley GIS Unit. “Drug trafficking is a serious offence that typically creates a large number spin off offences related to the addiction associated with these drugs, including property crime, violence and theft.”
