Parkland RCMP on scene of motor vehicle collision Hwy 16A – UPDATED

Spruce Grove, Alberta – Please be advised that traffic is no longer being diverted on Hwy 16A and both lanes are open.
There have not been any updates on the condition of the driver’s at this time.
The investigation is ongoing.  There will be no further updates.
BACKGROUND

Spruce Grove, Alberta – On Nov. 25, 2020 at 6:51 a.m., Parkland RCMP responded to a report of a motor vehicle collision on Hwy 16A and Range Road 261 involving two vehicles. Both eastbound and westbound lanes of Hwy 16A are effected.

Traffic is being diverted and it is suggested that if you are travelling eastbound to detour onto Hwy 60.

The two drivers, a 25 year old male and a 22 year old female, were transported to hospital by ground ambulance with serious injuries.

Due to the snowfall over night, road conditions are poor.

The investigation is ongoing.
