Wood Buffalo RCMP respond to a robbery and arrest female

Fort McMurray, Alberta – On Nov. 25, 2020, at approximately 4:00 p.m., Wood Buffalo RCMP received a report of an alleged armed robbery at a business on Millenium Drive, between Confederation Way and Powder Drive, in the Timberlea area of Fort McMurray. An undisclosed amount of Canadian currency was taken from the business and the female suspect left on foot. No one was injured during this incident.

While a Wood Buffalo RCMP officer obtained a description of the female suspect from an employee at the business, another police officer simultaneously located and identified the suspect as Tina Lewis. She was the driver and lone occupant in a vehicle pulling up to a residence on Beaton Place.

Tina Louise Lewis (40-years-old) was arrested and is facing the following charges:

· Robbery

· Possession of property obtained by crime

· Intent to commit an indictable offence while disguised

On Nov. 26, Tina Lewis had an in-custody hearing and was remanded in police custody. Her next court appearance is scheduled for Dec. 7, 2020.
