Behchoko, Northwest Territories – Behchoko RCMP have seized a considerable quantity of illegal cannabis, believed to be in possession for the purpose of trafficking.
On Sunday afternoon, November 22, Behchoko RCMP entered an investigation under the Cannabis Act of two males in a black truck. During the investigation, over 90 grams of pre-packaged illegal cannabis and trafficking paraphernalia was seized under the Cannabis Act. Charges are pending under the federal Cannabis Act for a male youth and male adult.
“We listen to our community and work with them to reduce and prevent the harm from the sale of illegal drugs. Behchoko RCMP is committed to a safe and healthy community and this shows the good work being done by our members” states Sgt Ryan Plustwa, Behcoko RCMP Detachment Commander.
Behchoko RCMP would like to remind residents who have information about suspicious activity to call the detachment at 392-1111 and would also like to thank the community members who do so.
