Moncton, New Brunswick – A man and a woman, both from Moncton, have been arrested and a quantity of drugs seized following the execution of search warrants at three addresses in Moncton.
In the early morning hours of November 28, 2020, police executed a search warrant at an address on Université Avenue in Moncton. A 40-year-old man and a 34-year-old woman were arrested at this location. Search warrants were also executed at two addresses on Dominion Street in Moncton.
From the three locations, police seized what is believed to be cocaine, Hydromophone pills, marijuana, contraband cigarettes, cash, drug paraphernalia and several cell phones.
This investigation into cocaine trafficking is part of a coordinated law enforcement approach that involves resources from the New Brunswick RCMP, Woodstock Police Force and Fredericton Police Force. This is a continuing effort by police to focus on disrupting and dismantling the trafficking of illegal drugs in our province, targeting those causing the most harm in our communities.
The man is being held in custody and is scheduled to appear in Moncton Provincial Court on December 1, 2020. The woman was released on conditions pending a court appearance at a later date.
The investigation is ongoing.
