Boyle RCMP arrest males from Lac La Biche for multiple break and enters/theft

Boyle, Alberta – On Dec. 4, 2020 at approximately 1:00 p.m., Boyle RCMP responded to a trailer park located off Highway 663 for 24 break and enter into camper trailers and cottages.

Police arrived on scene and were speaking to one of the victims when a suspicious truck not known to the property owner approached the entrance to the trailer park. The truck immediately reversed at a high rate of speed and fled.

Officers followed the truck, but it failed to pull over after emergency lights were activated. The truck attempted to turn around on the roadway, but got stuck. Two males initially fled on foot while one hid in the vehicle and fled after police gave chase on foot. All of the males were eventually caught and arrested in the area with assistance by RCMP Police Dog Services. One of the males was found to be in possession of approximately (14g) of what is believed to methamphetamine. The truck was also previously reported stolen from Bonnyville, Alta.

Footwear impressions from the break ins were analyzed and matched with two of the suspects. During a search of the truck, items that were stolen from the break-ins as well as break-in tools, were located.

Keith Patrick Cardinal (34) from Lac La Biche, was charged with:

· Break and Enter (x24)

· Possession of Stolen Property over $5000

· Possession of break-in instruments

· Obstructing a peace officer

He was released from custody following a judicial hearing and is set to appear in Boyle Provincial Court on Dec. 22, 2020.

Arnold Travis HOULE (23) from Lac La Biche, was charged with:

· Break and Enter (x24)

· Possession of Stolen Property over $5000

· Possession of break-in instruments

· Obstructing a peace officer

· Unlawfully possess a controlled substance

He was released from custody following a judicial hearing and is set to appear in Boyle Provincial Court on Dec. 22, 2020.

George Marcel Mountain (32) from Lac La Biche was charged with:

· Possession of Stolen property over $5000

· Possession of break-in instruments

· Obstructing a peace officer

· Possession of stolen property under $5000

· Fail to comply (x4)

He was remanded into custody following a judicial hearing and is set to appear in Boyle Provincial Court on Dec. 22, 2020.
