This time of year, parcel thefts from porches and mailboxes increase. Here are some tips to avoid being the victim of theft:

· Track your packages online and plan to be home when packages are supposed to arrive, or arrange for an alternate pickup option.

· When possible, opt for a “signature required” delivery.

· Check your mail every day. If you plan to be away, have a trusted neighbour or friend check your mail.

· Consider installing surveillance cameras, and post signs that they are on the property.

The Parkland RCMP encourage the public to report any criminal or suspicious activity to police.

If you are able to identify any suspects or have information to assist with this investigation, please contact the Parkland RCMP or your local police at 825-220-7267.
