Taber Police arrest Medicine Hat pair in truck stolen from Redcliff, Alberta

Taber, Alberta – On December 21, 2020, at approximately 11:40 pm, the Taber Police attempted to stop a truck that was reported stolen from Redcliff, Alberta, earlier in the day. The truck fled at a high rate of speed, vaulting into a ditch, becoming disabled. The two occupants fled on foot; however, the female passenger was immediately apprehended. After a short search, the male driver was also arrested.

A search of the truck revealed several thousand dollars worth of stolen property from the Redcliff and Medicine Hat area.

The 25 year old female passenger, from Medicine Hat, was charged Possession of Stolen Property and will appear in Taber court on January 19, 2020.

The driver, 31 year old Shane Poole from Medicine Hat, was charged with Flight from Police, Possession of Stolen Property X4, Fail to Comply With an Undertaking, Fail to Comply With a Release Order, Possession of a Controlled Substance (Methamphetamine) as well as charges under the Traffic Safety Act and the Gaming, Liquor and Cannabis Act. Poole was remanded into custody and his next appearance will be January 5, 2021.
