Maskwacis, Alberta – On Dec. 28 2020, at approximately 9:00 p.m., Maskwacis RCMP were called to investigate a hit and run collision involving a pedestrian and a minivan on Four Mile Road; located on the Samson Cree Nation. The 27-year-old female victim was treated by Maskwacis EMS and transported to an area hospital via STARS Ambulance.
Information was learned that the driver fled the scene immediately after striking the victim and police are requesting the public’s assistance in identifying the person(s) responsible for this hit and run, and with locating the suspect vehicle.

The suspect vehicle has been described as a dark colored minivan and Police believe there may be front end damage to the vehicle.
As the investigation is ongoing, police will not be releasing the identity of the pedestrian struck by the vehicle.
