Fort Saskatchewan RCMP Remind Residents to Abide By The Provincial Heath Orders This Holiday Season

Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta – The Fort Saskatchewan RCMP and Municipal Enforcement Services would like to remind the public to be responsible this Holiday Season and abide by the Provincial Health Orders.

Insp. Mike MCCAULEY, the Officer in Charge of the Fort Saskatchewan RCMP Detachment said “We totally understand how difficult these restrictions are around the holidays as we are living through them as well, but we all must do our part. Unfortunately some citizens have been breaking the outdoor gathering rules and if they continue to do so we will have to move to enforcement. The RCMP and Municipal Enforcement do not want to issue people a $1200 fine, but we will if we are put in that position”.

In accordance with these orders, no competitions, no events, no shinny, no tag and no pick-up games can take place on outdoor skating rinks. Please review the outdoor winter recreation restrictions from the Alberta Government.
