Flin Flon, Manitoba – On January 14, 2021, at approximately 1:10 pm, RCMP responded to a robbery at a financial institution on Main Street, in Flin Flon.
A male entered the business, approached an employee and demanded cash. He stated that he had an explosive device in his bag and that he was carrying a firearm. He stole cash, left his bag and fled on foot. No firearm was seen.

Numerous officers attended and secured the bag. It was determined that it did not contain an explosive device.
After speaking with witnesses and getting a description of the suspect, one of the officers recognized who the suspect was, as she had spoken with him an hour prior to the incident.
On January 15, 2021, at approximately 10:15 am, Creighton RCMP arrested the 44-year-old male suspect at a residence in Denare Beach, Saskatchewan.
Marcel Sewap of Flin Flon, has been charged with Robbery and Uttering Threats, and was remanded into custody.
RCMP continue to investigate.
