Leduc RCMP on scene at serious collision at the intersection of Highway 2A and Highway 616 – UPDATED

Leduc, Alberta –  (10 am) At approximately 7:45 a.m., Leduc RCMP and emergency services responded to a two vehicle collision between a car and an suv on Highway 2A between Township 483 and Highway 616.

The north bound car lost control and was struck by the south bound suv.

The 27-year-old driver of the car and the 47-year old driver of the suv were both transported to hospital with serious injuries.

All lanes of travel are reopened.

The cause of the collision remains under investigation. Further updates will not be provided.
