Police investigate shooting in North Preston, Nova Scotia, one man sent to hospital

North Preston, Nova Scotia – The RCMP/HRP Integrated Major Crime Unit of the Criminal Investigation Division is investigating reports of shots fired at two locations in North Preston that left a 20-year-old man with life-threatening injuries.

At approximately 12:55 a.m., Halifax District RCMP responded to reports of shots fired in North Preston. Police located a victim enroute to the hospital.

The investigation has revealed that the victim was shot near the areas of Clarence St. A second report of shots fired from Alex Ln. is being investigated. It is not known at this time whether the incidents are related.

Police continue to be on scene in the community.

The investigation is ongoing and being led by the RCMP/HRP Integrated Major Crime Unit of the Criminal Investigation Division.
