Alberta RCMP investigating cell tower vandalism

Rocky Mountain House, Lacombe County, Alberta – The RCMP have received two reports of vandalism to TELUS cell towers over the last month. Investigations are ongoing, and public assistance is being sought if anyone has information.

On Jan. 3, a cell tower in Lacombe County was rendered inoperable as a result of vandalism. TELUS crews responded immediately to maintain service for their customers, and the RCMP launched an investigation.

On Jan. 23, a cell tower was vandalized in the Rocky Mountain House area. Again, TELUS responded immediately to address the issue.

The RCMP are working with TELUS Security to investigate these incidents. There has been no determination made as to whether the incidents are related.
