Hinton RCMP seek public assistance in theft at auto shop; unique item stolen

Hinton, Alberta – Hinton RCMP are investigating a theft that occurred at the Mobil1 auto shop located in the area of Joblin Street in Hinton.

On Dec. 19, 2020, a break and enter occurred sometime overnight at the Mobil1 auto shop. The suspect stole a Baywatch touchscreen monitor by gaining access through the front garage door and cutting through a wired fence. The value of the monitor is over $2,900. It is notable that the monitor is inoperable as a media streaming device.

The attached photo of the unique item that was stolen in the theft was recently obtained by police.
