Beaverlodge RCMP seeking public assistance in identifying suspect in break-ins

Beaverlodge, Alberta – On Feb. 4, 2021, at approximately 5 a.m., Beaverlodge RCMP received a report of a break and enter that had occurred at the Wembley Fire Department located in Wembley, Alta.

Beaverlodge RCMP attended and it was learned from surveillance footage that a suspect had forced entry into the building by breaking glass and was carrying a bag or tool box when the suspect fled on foot. The suspect was dressed in dark colored clothing. Grande Prairie RCMP Police Dog Service attended the location to attempt to track the suspect; however, the suspect’s trail was lost.

On Feb. 5, 2021, at 6:30 a.m., Beaverlodge RCMP received a report that the Town of Wembley City Works Building had been forcibly entered.

Beaverlodge RCMP attended and further investigation revealed that at approximately 1:30 a.m., a suspect had gained entry and stolen a ring of keys belonging to equipment and vehicles. The suspect in this incident was believed to be wearing a black jacket with a hi-vis stripe as well as blue jeans, black boots, and a black toque/hat.
