Bay Roberts, Newfoundland and Labrador – A large amount of cash and a bill counter were seized at a residence in Shearstown on February 16, 2021.
Bay Roberts RCMP executed a search warrant at a residence in Shearstown yesterday and arrested 38-year-old Thomas Earle for multiple firearms and other offences.
At approximately 11:00 a.m., RCMP from Bay Roberts Detachment, the Emergency Response Team, and Police Dog Services, entered the residence and searched the home.
Police located and seized the following items:
Two restricted handguns
14 non-restricted firearms
Ammunition
A quantity of Cannabis
A quantity of prescription medications
A quantity of unstamped tobacco
A large sum of cash



Earle was held in custody overnight, appeared in court today and was released on conditions. He is set to attend court at a later date.
His charges include:
Two counts of unauthorized possession of firearm
Three counts of careless storage of firearms
Two counts of failing to report loss of a restricted firearm
Possession of proceeds of crime in excess of $5000.00
Possession of cannabis for the purpose of selling (Federal Cannabis Act)
Possession of Unstamped Tobacco contrary to the (Federal Excise Act)
The investigation is continuing with charges expected against other individuals.
