Parkland RCMP traffic stop results in two arrests for trafficking methamphetamine

Stony Plain, Alberta – On Feb. 5, 2021 at approximately 11:30 p.m. a Parkland RCMP member conducted a traffic stop. Police checks revealed that the driver and the passenger were wanted on warrants. They were arrested and taken into custody. During the investigation, RCMP members located 30 g of methamphetamine, brass knuckles and a large sum of money.

Jack Young (41) and Ember Anderson (30) of Sherwood Park, Alta. were charged with:

· Possession for the purpose of trafficking

· Possession of weapon for dangerous purpose

· Possession of firearm/weapon/device/ammunition in motor vehicle

They are scheduled to appear in Stony Plain Provincial Court on May, 5, 2021.
